How to Clean Salad

DO YOU KNOW your bowl of Salad could be pack of Dirt & Germs?
A healthy bowl of Salad handled wrongly could screw up your digestive system.
Always remember to Wash your Salad

Here's a few trick to keep your Salad Fresh and Clean
1) "PRE-Washed" Salad
- Even if it's already PRE-Washed it still has to be washed again *Slight more Expensive
- The Water used to washed them are not as clean as you think *It's like washing Salad in Muddy Water
 2) Soak in Ice Cold Water
- Just add some Ice in the Water and soak for 1-2minutes
- It will freshen up the Salad Leaves giving a Crunchier/ Crispier Texture
- It also remove some Dirt

3) Salad Washing Machine aka SALAD SPINNER *Ikea sells around Rm20
- Nothing is worse than a bowl of Salad filled with Water underneath
- After Soaking in Ice Cold Water, use this to Spin Dry your Salad Leaves
- Just fill the Spinner half full with Salad Leaves, Spin, Stop, Remove Water and Repeat the process few times till your salad is ain't wet anymore.

If you follow these tricks, you could enjoy your salad without upsetting your digestive system.

Unfortunately this is how the Younger Generation look at Salads.

Mille Crepe

*Cake Tella latest Cake!*
Mille Crepe [Meal Krep] stands for "Thousand Pancake"
However, most Mille Crepe are not made of thousand layers of Crepe and Custard Cream.
It's about 20-30 Layers, varies among different Company

Have you ever wonder how to make Mille Crepe?
It's just layers of Pancake and Custard Cream stacked till sky high!
The Pancake is easy to make.

However Custard Cream are somewhat more difficult and tedious to make, many shops use Instant Custard instead.
Here's the formula for:
Real Custard Cream
= Egg Yolk + Milk + CornStarch + Sugar + Butter + Cooking + Cooling
Instant Custard Cream
= Instant Custard Powder + Milk + No Cooking
*Contains Emulsifier, Artificial Flavoring, Coloring

Zokolat Chocolate

EVER WONDER how does a Virgin Version of Chocolate looks like?
It comes from Cacao Tree, and that picture is a Cacao Pod and inside it is Cacao Bean. *Complicated?
Cocoa/Cacao Bean goes through a series of process
Fermentation -> Roasting -> Grinding -> Form into Chocolate -> Into your Stomach
. Do you know the Aztec use Cacao Bean as their Currency?
-
100 Beans can buy 1 Rabbit, 200 Beans can buy 1 Turkey- Right now 100 Beans cant really buy you a Rabbit *Inflation?

It's always confusing when it comes to Chocolate!
Don't Worry, Here's a list of Common Type of Chocolate
1) Dark Chocolate
- Contains Cocoa Solids, Cocoa Butter, Sugar but no Milk Solids
2) Bittersweet Chocolate
- The same as Dark Chocolate but contain way less Sugar
- Suitable for people who like it less sweet

3) Milk Chocolate
- Contains Cocoa Solids, Cocoa Butter, Sugar & Milk Solids
- Mildest & Most Popular
 4) White Chocolate
- Contains Cocoa Butter, Sugar & Milk Solids
- Doesn't contain Cocoa Solids so not really considered as Chocolate

Ever tried any Greasy, Waxy Chocolate before?
Ever wonder why some Chocolate are so Cheap while some are so Expensive?

2 Reasons Why:
1) The Quality of the Cacao Beans *It's like Ferrari Vs Kancil
- The quality determines the flavor
2) Cacao Butter
- it's extracted naturally from the Cacao Bean
- Premium Chocolate
only uses Cacao Butter
- Where else, Less Premium Substitute with Hydrogenated Fat/Oil *to Cut Cost

Next time before purchasing any Chocolate, read the ingredient first

-Compare the ingredient of Premium Choc & the less Premium ones
-It should not have Vegetable Fat (aka Hydrogenated Fat) in the Premium Choc

Now I hope you know a bit more of your Beloved Ingredient/food!

This is my Ultimate Chocolate Fantasy.
How about yours?

Tiramisu!

EVER WONDER what makes a Tiramisu a Real Tiramisu?

Translation of Tiramisu (Italian) to English would be "Pick-me-up"
Wake me up or make me Happy!

3 Main Components of Tiramisu
 1) Mascarpone Cheese
- Concentrated Version of Whipping Cream *With most of the liquid squeezed out
- Taste Rich & Creamy, not Sour*Doesn't taste like Cream Cheese at all
- Very Expensive *Most shops uses Cream Cheese instead
2) Sponge Finger
- Dried Finger Shaped Sponge Cake
- To absorb liquid
- Some shop make their own Sponge Finger, some buy

3) Coffee
- It's Bitterness to Counter Balance the Richness of Mascarpone Cheese
- Freshly Brewed Coffee would be pointless *It won't be Freshly Brewed by the time you eat it

4) Alcohol*Optional
- Traditionally Marsala Wine or Rum
- My favourite would be Galliano (Vanilla) & Kahlua (Coffee)
- Hardly used in Malaysia due to Halal Issue

Now you can tell your friends what a Tiramisu really is!
