Here's a post i wrote on November 2011 about Dairy Cream Vs Non Dairy Cream
A lot people ask me all the time.
"Eddie, What's the difference between all the Cream like Half & Half, Whipping Cream, Light Cream, Heavy Cream and so on?"
It's the difference of the Fat Content .
1) Half & half (10.5 -18% Fat)
2) Light Cream (18-30% Fat)

1) Half & half (10.5 -18% Fat)
2) Light Cream (18-30% Fat)
3) Whipping Cream/ Heavy Cream (35+% Fat)
However worry not as Malaysia only has Whipping Cream/ Heavy Cream. It's the same thing just a different name.
You need a minimum of 35% Fat to whip Cream *otherwise it won't thicken.
I personally love Anchor Cream because it's formulated for our Hot Climate *I'm not endorsed/sponsored by Anchor
Here's a list of Cream that Anchor Carries:
1) Whipping Cream *also known as Heavy Cream
- Min 35% Fat Content
- Suitable for Whipping/ Cooking
- More Versatile as it can be use for cooking and whipping
2) Extra Whip Whipping Cream
- Min 35% Fat Content
- Suitable for Whipping only
- Lighter compare to Whipping Cream
3) Cooking Cream
- Suitable for Cooking only
- Does not split so easily while cooking
- Good for Cream Sauce or Carbonara (Click here for my Recipe!)
I would always stick with Whipping/Heavy Cream, the first option above because of it's versatility.
- it's bisexual as it suitable for Cooking and Whipping.
- Kill Two Birds with one Stone on Saturday night!
Foolproof way to Whip up your Cream *COMING SOON!
