Dr Peppercorn?


Do you know Peppercorns from Sarawak are used in Most Michelin Star restaurant as Sarawak produce the best Peppercorns?
But most of us are using Peppers the wrong way? 



I know you have heard of Black Pepper, Green Pepper, White Pepper, Pink Pepper, Sze Chuan Pepper, Sarawak Pepper.
But what's the difference?


Peppercorns in short is known as Pepper
-Berry-like fruits
-Ripen from Green to Red To Brown/Ripen


White Peppercorn
- Harvested when it's Ripen
- Outer husk removed *So it's White
- Less Spicy
- Suitable for Fish, White Sauces


Black Peppercorn
- Harvested when it's Red
- Dried and turn Black
- Very Strong & Pungent


Green Peppercorn
- Harvested when it's Green
- Usually Pickled in Brine
- Less pungent , Fruity Flavor


Pink Peppercorn
- It's not true Peppercorn
- It's an aromatic berries
- Sweet, Pepper Anise-like flavor
- Good for Seafood, Salmon & Sushi


Sze Chuan Pepper
- It's not true Peppercorn
- It's a reddish brown berry from prickly ash tree
- Fragrant lavender like aroma
- Very spicy
- If consumed too much, your tongue will go numb.


Never ever buy Ground Pepper/ Pepper Powder!
- Pepper must always be grind freshly
- It taste like Ash & Sawdust

How to grind it freshly?

Pepper Mills
- It cost less than Rm20 in Ikea *I have been using it for 4 years and it's still in good condition!

















Of Course, Hogwarts produce better magical pepper mill.
