Potato are no Small Fry


Have you ever been to the Supermarket and became curious of what's the difference between all these Potatoes?
It comes in different SizesShapesColours and nevertheless Price too !


It's important to know the capability of the Potato you choose !
Some are not suitable to make Curry, some are not suitable to Baked Potato.
You won't die using the right potato, but it will definitely waste your effort cooking any dishes with it.


In Malaysia there are 2 Most Common Type Potato ;Russet and Yukon Gold
Do you know if you use Russet Potato in Curry, it will break into tiny pieces which is not ideal for a good bowl of Curry !

Russet Potato
- White Flesh
- Breakup easily after cooking * Not Suitable for making Curries
- Light & Fluffy Texture
- Mashed Potato, Baked Potato, Fries

Yukon Gold
- Yellow Flesh
- Able to Hold it's shape well after cooking
- Rich & Dense Texture
- Curry, Potato Salad, Roasted Potato

New Potato
Immature Potato *Harvest before ripen
- Resulting in a very thin Skin
- Not all New Potato are Small Potato and not all small Potato are New Potato
- Roasted Potato


CAUTION : POTATO ARE NO SMALL FRY ! Potato could Kill You or Send you to the Clinic

If your Potato is turning green *Like the Incredible Hulk
Cut the green part away
It's Poison/Toxic. *Affect Nervous System

HOWEVER  !
Do Not Bother Peel it Off
if you are cooking for somebody you hate.
